Job Title: Team Leader, FAOJob Description The Sourcing Operations Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of 10 Operational Sourcing Analysts, overseeing daily sourcing activities, vendor engagement requests (VER), and procurement workflows across multiple stakeholders and geographies. This role ensures operational excellence by guiding the team in reviewing and confirming commercial terms, facilitating negotiations, ensuring compliance, and driving the end-to-end VER process. The Team Lead acts as the primary escalation point for complex sourcing issues, fosters collaboration with Legal, Due Diligence, and other functional partners, and ensures the team consistently meets performance and service-level targets.Team Leadership & Performance
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 10 Sourcing Analysts, providing regular feedback, development opportunities, and performance evaluations.
  • Assign and balance workloads to ensure timely and efficient progression of procurement tasks and VERs.
  • Monitor daily team activity through Thinksmart and other tools, identifying and addressing bottlenecks proactively.
  • Establish and track KPIs, ensuring the team meets or exceeds service-level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
Operational Oversight
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of VERs managed by the team, ensuring accurate intake, tracking, and completion.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex sourcing, negotiation, or compliance issues.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, PO-only processes, and self-servicing legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance leaders to maintain high standards of due diligence and contract management.
Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to standardize and optimize sourcing processes across the team.
  • Implement best practices for contract drafting, review, and negotiation to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Lead initiatives to improve cycle times, closure rates, and vendor relationship management.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a liaison between procurement leadership, DRIs, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders to resolve escalated issues.
  • Support business units by ensuring sourcing processes align with strategic objectives and budgetary goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions for internal stakeholders on sourcing procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing Operations, Contracts, or Category Management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a global or high-volume procurement environment.
  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes and contract lifecycle management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with procurement tools such as DocuSign, JIRA, and Thinksmart is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
