- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years with a bachelor’s degree or 6 years or relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
- Experience working with USAID projects strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing multiple complex programming in a demanding, time-sensitive work environment.
- Experience conducting research and ability to proficiently articulate findings in the English language.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning on programs.
- Experience with knowledge management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to track and manage budgets and plan both strategically and creatively to meet project objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local laws and donors’ procurement policies. Experience with subgrant administration required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated flexibility to meet program outcomes.
- Strong representational and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Excellent communication in English and Spanish required.
- Excellent cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills.

- Knowledge and expertise in technical areas relevant to Transform required. These include: survivor-centered approaches to addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG), violence against women in politics and public life (VAWPP), gender-based violence (GBV), online gendered hate, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), women in politics and public life (WIPPL), gender digital divide and digital transformation, the intersection of gender and civic technology, and other related subject areas.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day implementation of Transform program activities in Guatemala.
- Coordinate with the DC-based program team and partners to implement Transform technical program activities in Guatemala under each program objective. This includes leading training and capacity building efforts in Guatemala to monitor, prevent, mitigate, and respond to TFGBV.
- Support the development of Transform knowledge products, including an in-depth landscape analysis on TFGBV in Guatemala and the development of case studies on focal individuals, programs, and platforms combatting TFGBV in Guatemala.
- Responsible for Transform initiative knowledge management. This includes collecting, analyzing, systematizing, organizing, storing, and routinely sharing new evidence, lessons learned, tools, and materials from pilots. This also includes liaising with team members to inform capacity building, global learning priorities, and engagement with broader set of regional and global stakeholders addressing TFGBV.
- Support the grant-making process for local innovation grantees to invest in locally-led and context-sensitive solutions to TFGBV in Guatemala. Serves as the primary point of contact for grantees.
- Provide technical assistance to Transform innovation grantees to track and monitor implementation and impact.
- Support the development and implementation of Guatemala specific Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plans. Coordinates with Transform MEL staff in pursuit of program learning.
- Organize and lead Transform learning and solidarity events in Guatemala; supports regional and global learning and solidarity events.
- Support the selection of and coordination with Guatemala based members of Transform’s Community Advisory Board.
- Draft correspondence for and liaises directly, where appropriate, with program stakeholders in Guatemala including with the USAID Mission in country.
- Serve as the liaison with partner organizations and subgrantees in country, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Support communications with the USAID Mission on Guatemala, serves as the liaison for the program.
- Represent the Transform program in Guatemala publicly and with external stakeholders, including donors and implementers as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local, regional, and international organizations working in Guatemala with relevant missions and activities for the Transform program.
- Support proposal drafting and new business development opportunities as needed.
- Responsible for program finance and compliance in Guatemala, including the review and management of country-level program budgets, and other tasks such as the review and approval of expense reports in country, processing payments, submitting monthly wire requests, etc.
- Oversee a package of subgrants for local innovation grantees in Guatemala. Supports the development of the grant mechanism, including the capacity-building activities associated therewith. Oversees the disbursement of the grants and manages them. Implements trainings related to capacity building for grantees.
- Support locally based Finance & Administration coordinators to oversee Local Innovation Grantees, including by providing training and mentorship on USAID rules and regulations, compliance, financial management, MEL, and reporting.
- Support program fiscal management in Guatemala with responsibility for pipelines, ensuring the team is accurately paying and reconciling expenses on time, on budget and in compliance with an array of governing policies and regulations (ensuring all policies/regulations established by the USG, the program’s award, and IREX are fully met).
- Responsible for accurately utilizing financial management software and tools to track and project program budget.
- Liaise continually with the DC-based program team in support of Transform goals and implementation. Liaises frequently with finance and administrative staff in Guatemala to ensure excellence in program implementation and compliance.
- Manage task management and regularly meets with colleagues to ensure timeliness and accuracy regarding all tasks.
- Ensure all team members understand their responsibilities, know the associated deadlines for a task, how the assignment fits within the program’s bigger picture, and knows what the review/approval process for that task will be and who is conducting it.
